The photo is of my friend, Selly and was shot on top of an apartment building in Manila. Selly didn’t want a portrait of strictly her face, since she didn’t feel confident enough in her modeling abilities, which explains why she posed behind plants casting shadows. Nevertheless, her gaze into the camera was so powerful that one would never have imagined how out of place she truly felt.
