This is the stairway at Fort George which is part of Brimstone Hill Fortress leading to the top of the fort. Brimstone Hill Fortress is an English fortress located on the top of Brimstone Hill both of which make up Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park located on the island of St. Kitts. Built intermittently between the 1690s and the 1790s, the fortress was used to defend the Caribbean coastline against attack and provide safe refuge for the island's British citizens.
