Sheeps Crossing bridge is a historic place in Tonto National Forest. It was used by ranchers in 1926 to herd sheep across the Verde River. The sheep would get washed down the river, so in 1943 a bridge was built for 11,000 sheep to cross every year. It is on the National Registry of Historic places and one of the last suspension bridges in Arizona.
