Shells in the surf, Lake Michigan, Chicago, IL
I was mesmerized by the patterns formed by the shells as they rolled about in the surf at Chicago's Montrose Beach. The impermanence of the arrangements was a lovely object lesson in the fleeting nature of beauty.
