Graves of the unknown at Shiloh. I visited the Shiloh National Military Park on Good Friday in 2018. I was passing through Tennessee on my way to Maryland. The military cemetery is on a bluff above the Tennessee River. I knew this was one of the bloodiest engagements of the Civil War, but I was unprepared for the number of unidentified graves.
