In this photo I tried to create a scene which is both familiar and foreign. While trolley tracks and oncoming traffic are commonplace in any Western city, the criss crossed power lines and aging buildings remind us that Russia is still a country which struggles with its past. Through my travels in Russia I have found that this struggle for identity in the midst of such tremendous change is the greatest challenge which the country faces today.
