I've just retuned from a month in Mexico where 10 days were spent in region called La Costa Chica or Cuajinicuilapa or in the state of Guerrero. Ive just started a project covering the Afro-Mexican community there. African descendants have been there since the 1600s but are look at as the third root in Mexico or invisible. In fact the Afro Mexican have only been recognised as such on the Mexican census for the first time as of 2020.
