A woman with the boy on the picture in her arms was standing next to me. In the background, one can see the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong. Against that backdrop, in this particular square, this boy with his Yankees cap, gazing dreamily to the opposite direction , seemed to me like an epitome of the changing times in China.
