Silent Snows
A Northern Pygmy Owl perches perfectly still atop an evergreen, barraged by heavy winter snows. I was able to take a slow shutter speed image against the dark forest to capture the atmosphere of the moment accurately, and show the harshness of this incredible tiny predator's environment.
