16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
Silk worm weaver
I visited a small traditional factory in which women work with silk worms. I was lucky to witness the whole process, from the silk worms to the actual fabric. I took a photo of this female worker so as to show one of the very few job opportunities for women in one of the poorest countries in the African continent.
