Silver trees

I was on my way to Jazzfest in New Orleans and stopped by a wildlife refuge north of Lake Ponchitrain to birdwatch, but the weather changed dramatically and instead I ended up in a torrential rainstorm followed by the most astonishing display of mist I have ever seen. Apparently all the color in the world had been sucked out by atmospheric conditions and the result reminds me of the old gelatin prints. It was spooky, ethereal experience.
