Single-Tusked Elephant
This single-tusked elephant in the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania stalked towards our safari vehicle. We watched in amazement as it came closer and closer to the car. All that I heard was the sound of its footsteps and the snapping shutters of the cameras around me. All I could focus on was the missing tusk. It disguised this elephant from the others we had seen and stayed in the front of my mind for the rest of the trip. Where and when had it gone missing? How?
