20th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Artistic
Sir J A MacDonald's House

The founding Prim e minister was from Kingston, Ontario. As Caand's first capital (before Ottawa was chosen by the Queen) Kingston was the capital of Canada. This structure was the Parliament building for all of Upper and Lower Canada and the Colonies. Since Kingston architecture is mostly limestone, black and white are a great alternative to color to bring out the architectural details.
