In the mid 2010s, an attempt to save part of the Rhone Glacier was made by covering 5 acres of ice in white blankets to reflect solar radiation. A decade later and the battle is lost, all that remains are tattered shreds of fabric drapped over a melting iceberg. Climate change has proven to be a challenge that can only be overcome with globally coordination, local efforts are never enough.
