Slab City is a fascinating oasis of colour in the middle of the baron dessert. As you pass on the old, beaten roads, a towering man-made cliff of colour casts a long shadow in the desert sun. On the grounds of the monument, is one lone caravan where the creator and keeper of the site lives as well as scattered remains of his past such as old sofas and trucks.
