My family has owned a home in Shenandoah County Virginia for years. Growing up in the suburbs around Washington D.C. life can be very busy and almost overwhelming at times. However, "The Land" for which my family has nicknamed the property we have is miles from the closest neighbor and has no internet or other modern entertainment amenities. When Im at the land, i disconnect from my reality and enjoy the comfort of family, friend, and the nature that surrounds me. On a hike through a trail which encircles Lake Laura, geese where seen in a very interesting pattern soaking up sun on a dock which sees no human interaction that time of the year allowing the geese to relax and gather as much heat during the cold fall months in Shenandoah County.
