A young lady sleeping on a rainy afternoon on the Island of Lagos. In July, flood ravaged Lekki-Ajah in Eto Osa local government area of Lagos State destroying properties and taking over roads after many days of down pour. The drastic impact of flooding on lives and properties on the island is the effect of indiscriminate dumping of refuse into drainage channels as well as other incidents of drainage blockage by erecting structures on drainages and their alignments.
