Slippery Slope

Sea ice is not just a flat surface. There are all sorts of different ice features that the penguins have to navigating through to get to their chicks. I loved watching the emperor penguins traversing the slippery ice bridges going from one plateau to another. It is incredible the effort it takes for these birds to get food to their chicks.
