22nd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Slowly to the Sun

This snail was a curious one, leaning and peering at me in a way. I grabbed my camera as it was moving to a shady spot, and just shot this awesome photo. My camera has a weird trait of creating interesting bokeh lines/patterns when there is sun flare, and i got lucky and got this cool line of it. It looks like the snail can see the bokeh too in a way, but anyway, i hope you enjoy this image as much as i do !
