Small Headed Tree Frog on Leaf

The variety and density of Costa Rica amphibians is incredible. And the best way to witness these animals is by walking through the rainforest at night, scanning riverbanks, leaves, and trees. The small headed tree frog might in fact be a species complex, but it is known for its bright yellow coloration and the its eyes’ golden irises.
