21st Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Artistic
Small Red Globe Thistle
I saw this dried globe thistle flowerhead while walking around the campus of Vassar College with my wife. Since it was well past it's flowering stage, I clipped it off and brought it home to photograph in my studio.
