Smokey ghosts of trees winding past Mount Rainier
During the last few dats of a visit to Seattle, heavy smoke from the nearby wildfires rolled into the city, as well as most of the region. While flying out of Seattle, I observed the lingering smoke from the northwest wildfires as it winded through the mountains. It was like seeing the ghosts of the recently burned trees make their way through the forest. It filled me with dread and sadness at the same time.
