Smoked Tree
In the West our main natural disaster are fires. These days the U.S. Forest Service uses lightening caused forest fires as 'managed burns' to reduce the forest fuel and abate future forest fires. This photo shows a burned tree in the foreground surrounded by smoke rising from the forest floor.
