Snacking on the Zambezi River
October is the dry season in Zambia. The small rivers and tributaries have dried up and only the major rivers remain for the wildlife to get water from. The mighty Zambezi River is so low an elephant can walk across much of it. This opportunity permits them the ability to gain access to small patches of grass and other vegetation on small “islands” reveled by the receding water line.
