Sniff

Juvenile european fox having a snooze & a sniff at the local bush in suburban Melbourne. I was amazed by how close I could get to it. The europen/ red foxes are one of the most invasive species in Australia. They are considered a threat to 76 kinds of native birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians, including the critically endangered orange-bellied parrot, spotted quail-thrush and western swamp tortoise. In some parts of Melbourne there are as many as 20 foxes living in a square km.
