Snout Butterfly on Rattlesnake Master

American Snout butterflies are rare in Ohio. So, I was excited to see this one. I was also excited to see that the butterfly was using Rattlesnake Master, a prairie plant, to nectar on. As a lecturer on pollinators, I am always interested in the relationship between insects and plants. Especially two such unusual specimens as these.
