Snowy hills

Isle of Skye doesn't look that big but it requires a lot of driving on single lane twisty roads and takes some time too. Elgol was first place to visit on Skye after I left Glencoe. Elgol is a beautiful place, and it has a particular attraction for anyone with an interest in Scottish mountains. While Glen Brittle and Sligachan both lie closer to the main Cuillin ridge, they lie outside the horseshoe shape it describes. It is only from the south, from Elgol, that you can look right into the heart of this savage mountainscape.
