Snowy love dance
During a 12-day trek through the Hornstrandir peninsula (the wildest area of Iceland) a snowstorm left us trapped in our tent for a week. Temperatures dropped to zero and the winds blew with extreme violence. While we waited for the weather to improve in our little shelter, it became the perfect hide. While we wrapped ourselves in our feather coats, this pair of ptarmigians seemed not to care about the cold at all. While we shivered, they simply staged a beautiful romantic encounter in front of us.
