This image was captured at Brooks Falls within Katmai National Park and Preserve in Alaska. At Brooks Camp, bears congregate to feed on sockeye salmon during the peak of their migration in July. This photo was captured in September, when the sockeye salmon have already spawned, are dying, and easier to catch.
