Socotra’s art: erosion and wind created a “forest of trees” on the slopes of Archer sand dunes. "Situated between the Arab sea and Indian ocean, Socotra has been an important strategic point on the world’s trade and migration routes for centuries. With its endemic flora and fauna, majestic misty mountains, dreamy sandy beaches and friendly, hospitable people, it is an island of breathtaking beauty. As a result of climate change, the island is warming up and drying up, which negatively affects species such as world famous dragon blood trees.
