15th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
Solar Eclipse over Carhenge
A composite image of the total solar eclipse of August 21, 2017 photographed at Carhenge, the automotive land-art installation in Alliance, Nebraska. Because of the crowd (approx. 10,000 people) I photographed Carhenge the day after the eclipse & combined the two images with night sky stars photographed previously.
