Something for Everybody--a perspective of College Lodge atop Petit Jean Mountain
Something for Everybody is but one of ten perspectives I took of this studio size apartment building ruin built 1925-26 by YMCA. It was called College Lodge or College Hotel because guests would be welcomed to sleep there. This particular photo is from the edge of the central fireplace looking over a shadow of two windows behind me and toward a window across from me. The striated rocks are a geologic natural feature of the area in which this structure was built in the earlier years of the development of Petit Jean State Park.
