Sonder (n.) the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own. It breaks my heart to see old people along the streets asking for money, where they could have been at home with their families or exploring the world, enjoying life in general. It’s sad how it has been a search for gold, rather than a golden moment. I have always seen this woman in deep thought and it made me curious of the things going on her mind. As I gave her a little amount and held her hand, I saw genuine happiness which I will never forget.
