This is a 4x5 wet plate collodion tintype of Sophie. This image was taken on Christmas Eve 2016 as part of my 'Children of the Alchemy' series, a body of work to capture children as not often seen, through the eyes of a large format camera, lit with studio strobes and surrendering to the nuances that are inherit to the wet plate collodion process.
