14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
South Mt. B&W

Taken along the slopes of the South Mountain of western Maryland with the folklore of the Black Dog and the hunter whom took three shots to end up running from the beast. The story has been passed down and still told within the mountains in which people still hear and the howling during the harvest months.
