Southern Cross
Since my childhood I was fascinated with the night sky. Crux (Southern Cross) is a constellation centred on five stars in a bright portion of the Milky Way. Like Ursa Major, whose bright pointer stars show the way to the North Star, the Southern Cross can be used to find the location of the Southern Celestial Pole, and has been used by navigators for centuries.
