Special Evening at Bisti Wilderness - The BiNikon D600 - while teaching a workshop in Bisti Wilderness and Canyon de Chelly Arizona..

The Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness is and amazing collection of strange an beautiful rock formations. The wilderness is a 45,000-acre wilderness area located in San Juan County in New Mexico, US. It offers some of the most unusual scenery found in the Four Corners Region. Time and natural elements have etched strange rock formations made of interbedded sandstone, shale, mudstone, coal, and silt. The weathering forms hoodoos - rock in the form of pinnacles, spires, cap rocks and other unusual forms. Bisti is a Navajo word.
