Spent Joshua Tree Leaves

I'm always looking for patterns in the desert. This is of dead Joshua tree needles, or leaves that are being worn away by the desert sun and wind. The outer layer reveals wonderful, undulating stripes. Joshuas are not trees, instead they are in the lily family.
