I like to subtly (or not so subtly) take occasional self-portraits reflected in a window or the water or other objects. This sculpture of a sphere in an outdoor mall in Adelaide, Australia provided the perfect opportunity for a group shot of my wife and two friends along with myself. I never have to worry in these photos how ugly I am or whether I'm smiling or my eyes are open. This photo was taken in January, 2020, pre-pandemic. Sadly, I recently came across a news article showing this exact sculpture, in a completely empty mall during the most recent lockdown in Australia.
