18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
spider by the spider

This is a true story. I put a fresh coat of paint on my car. When i went out the next morning there it was!! I noticed a few spider webs going across the length of my hood. When i looked closer at the white blob on my newly painted hood i noticed that a spider had drawn a picture of himself, using a small moth as his drawing tool, although the moth does not appear in the picture, this is no hoax, the image you see was done by the spider and not by me!! I was and am impressed, i never knew insects could draw!!
