18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Spider crab aggregation
While diving at Lundy Island in the UK i came across a large aggregation of spider crabs. I creeped closer and closer to them in order to compose the image i was after and then suddenly this crab jumped back and raised it's claws in the air.
