13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Spider monkey
Geoffroy's spider monkey on an island at New river in Belize. He was released by an illegal zoo along with about 15 other monkeys, before they been shut down. He was the only one to survive. Hopefully he will be relocated soon, and will join a natural spider monkey troop.
