The North Head Trail is a hiking trail that wraps around the base of Signal Hill historic site in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. When the constant fog rolls in to surround the hill, there is an aura of mystery and even a feeling of being watched by an unseen force as you walk the hidden trail. The ghostly figure blended into the scene is a metaphor for that feeling of being watched as you are shrouded in the fog. The stone head in the lower left corner is a naturally occurring feature that I had unknowlingly captured when I took the photograph.
