Splitting wood

Our neighbor with the green shirt volunteered to help my husband do some work. He came over to our place with his tractor and a wood splitter, where he would pull the lever on the machine for the wood to be spit while my husband on the other side tossed the pieces on the ground. You can see one of the wood chunks, blurred from the motion (not as close to his foot as it looks) that hadn't quite reached the ground yet when I captured this scene on a sunny day in October. My husband was re-stacking one of the wood piles the next day and had just got done, so he thought, when the whole pile tipped over. Luckily he was 10 feet away and it didn't fall over on him or our dog. I didn't capture that mishap on camera but heard about it later.
