Spotted By a Northern Spotted Owl
Surveying for these birds has become more and more difficult with the Northern Spotted Owl's rapid decline in recent years. This makes finding individuals a very special experience. We located this female and found that she not only survived another year, but also had a successful nest with two juveniles. Here we see her keeping an eye on us while we hike.
