St, tace, ausculta modo.
Photographic mise en scene showing an intimidating masked man holding a knife in "Porte de la Chapelle" a so-called Parisian "no-go zone". The man seems to require silence. Indeed, crime happens quietly, often with a knife, so noise is totally avoided. The latin phrase "St, tase, ausculta modo", meaning "shh, be quiet, listen only" is an excerpt from "Mostellaria", a play by the Roman author Plautus.
