It’s a guaranteed irresistible Travel back on Time when you experience this wonderful historical structure in person. This temple is dated back to 8th Century AD (somewhere around 700 – 728) built by the rulers of Pallava Dynasty as architectural and cultural representation of their period in the shore of ‘Bay of Bengal’. This temple is being called by two different Names such as ‘Sun Temple’ (We can see the Sun Lighting the premises and main shrine naturally through the entrance faced towards east)and ‘Shore Temple’ (Being touched by the ferocious waves of Bay of Bengal)and this photo is composed from one of the rare angle which covers the Main tower and the walls which is partially submerged in sea. At times we can see the waves are hitting the temple during high tide season and monsoon. I have categorized this under 'Sustainable Travel' since i believe this Unesco approved heritage monument should receive more light which in turn can be preserved and acknowledged more which will also lead to the greater tourism development.
