Standing out

The Scralet Ibis, National Bird of Trinidad and Tobago can be found in the swamp and wetlands. Usually very skittish, you can still spot them from a great distance due to their brilliant colour, which they attain through the consumption of shrimp and crab. Recently the Ibis have been seen feeding on the edge of the mangrove, after heavy rain caused flooding in their usual feeding areas. Still skittish, I had to sit and wait for them to move in a little closer to get this shot.
