Star, my trusty camel
Nothing says tourist more than a camel ride amongst the pyramids. The levitation from a kneeling position into a loping gait across the desert toward the ancient edifice of The Great Pyramid was the equivalent of stepping back in time. I had ridden horses since I was two but a camel was a new adventure entirely. Their charm cannot be easily characterized, they are the curmudgeons of the animal kingdom.
