Steam locomotive at Peacocks Lock Bridge

In October, the Reading & Northern Railroad operates fall-foliage excursions from its new Outer Station in Reading, Pennsylvania, to the tourist town of Jim Thorpe. The steam locomotive has to come from Port Clinton, 15 miles north, to pick up its train first thing in the morning, running backwards. Just north of Reading, the track crosses this stone-arch bridge, built in 1856.
